Other pool companies stop their designs
at the pool deck, while we continue our theme, or concept, to the
property line and sometimes beyond. There are so many elements that
can influence a good pool design. Many of those occur beyond the
perimeter pool deck. Many houses, in their new state, possess little
to no privacy from each other. The placement of the pool, arbor,
or cabana can help minimize the impact of adjacent properties. Master
Planning should address ALL concerns, not just pool concerns. The
pool becomes an epicenter for activity, while the lighting, landscaping,
and structures create the total package and look people are striving
for. Many times the master plan is phased, and we are able to create
a strategic phasing plan that minimizes future disruption of previously
built phases. We make provisions and recommendations during the
construction process that minimize future costs and create an intelligent
phasing plan that fits the particular budget and site. |
Cookie Cutter vs. Original, Unique and Innovative Design

Pool companies
as a whole are volume based and not generally concerned with uniquely
designed master plans. In order to create steady cash flow they
find a few pool designs that they are comfortable building. They
then begin to replicate and duplicate. This benefits them because
they know exactly how to build that pool, and exactly how much money
they will make. The subs can construct them more rapidly.
There is a place for volume and replication and there is a place for uniqueness
and innovation. Marquise Pools is the latter. We don't have a book
of shapes that you have to choose from. |

Many of our clients invest in a unique and
innovative design that no one else has. Too many times have we seen
the same pool built over and over. For the money that many of these
pools cost, there should be a uniqueness tailored to that particular
family and architecture. That is Marquise Pools mission, to create
original and innovative design master plans. |

Our gallery
will show our mission carried out in all price ranges. Our market
is predominately the Woodlands. We are just beginning to venture
out to Katy, Magnolia, and Conroe, where you can see some of our
best work around the lake. We are very selective, as are our clients.
Many of our clients are not swimming in money, therefore we create
a plan that fits the individual needs and income level of those
clients. We do not exclude someone due to location, income, or demographics.
Our goal is to deliver the same design expertise to all budget
levels. We work with many realtors and are able to create a realistic
overall master plan budget based on a given market area.

Strategic Planners and Artistic Designers |

We are trained as Strategic Planners and
Artistic Designers. It takes both the analytical and the creative
aspects of the human brain to create the " true comprehensive plan".
Marquise's first and foremost goal is design and planning. Then
Greg is able to take the plan and make it a reality in a very aggressive
timeframe. Our typical construction schedule is about 4-6 weeks.
Some of our more complex projects are in the 8 week time frame.
There are many things that affect schedule, mainly weather and budget
are the driving factors of the time required to complete a plan. |
Many times
our customers spend more time in our outdoor rooms than they do
in the house. Our design and planning efforts spark many conversations
and create a new appreciation of outdoor living spaces. Many times
we have heard: " I have never seen anything like this", "This is
truly a work of art, who did this work?", "This is Awesome, give
me their number". These are the things that create repetitive leads
and business, not advertising. Our business is 90% referral and
10% advertising. That is the foundation of Marquise Pools which
will deliver a design to build experience like no other.

comprehensive planning skills. From the overall plan down to the toe tiles in the
pool, we strive to create the total look. As you
view the gallery, look at the unique combinations of straight lines
and curves. See how the material selections on the pool flow with
the materials on the house. Look closely at how the Pool, Pergola
or Arbor, and Landscape are integrated. Look how we bend the traditional
pool design rules by creating hybrid designs that use formal and
informal design principals. |

Now go and look at some of the
other pool website galleries, do they flow? Can you tell if one
company did all of the work? Can you tell if one Landscape
Architect created the initial vision for the whole yard? Are the
pools totally curvilinear or totally formal ? How many of the
pools you see use the moss rock waterfall as the focal point? Do
you see a repetition of form and conceptual ideas? What
statements in their company create a compelling selling point?
Is their construction superintendent an employee? Do they have
the ability to deliver the total package in house? Are they
paying their sub-contractors every week as the work is

construction) Do they have landscape architects as designers or
partners? Use those questions to evaluate and compare each
companies strengths and weaknesses. Marquise Pools is structured
