Greg Watson

Greg Watson has built over 700 awesome custom
pools in the greater Houston area over the past
12 years. As Project Manager for Marquise Pools,
his unparalleled attention to detail and commitment
to excellence ensure that every project is top notch.
In 2001, Greg and his business partner, Landscape
Architect Chris Smith, founded Marquise Pools around
the belief that that innovative design, quality
construction, and great service are the three key
components homeowners deserve when building a swimming
pool. The vision from the beginning for Marquise
Pools was to leverage the Landscape Architectural
approach to residential master planning and construction.

Chris Smith

Chris Smith is one of the partners for Marquise
Pools, He has a BS Degree in Landscape Architecture
from Louisiana State University, he is registered
with the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners
License # 2185, he also holds an associate’s degree
in Horticulture from Oklahoma State University.
Chris goes out of his way to create unique and innovative
master plans that are tailored to the various lifestyles
of his clients. The flow of his master plans seamlessly
overlap the poolscape, planting palette, outdoor
living systems, and lighting effects into one
cohesive and functional plan. Chris meets with
the design team weekly to motivate, innovate,
and re-charge the

entire studio’s
energy. Chris’s master plans are highly recognizable in the
industry, and they truly are a unique work of art
and function. Artistry many times comes from within
and not a learned gift, yes the professional degree
helps business flow, but true artistic abilities
come from above.
Chris loves Hunting, Fishing, Golfing,
and most of all having fun with his family.

Tambra Shell

Tambra has over 20 years of experience in landscape
architecture and is registered and licensed in the
state of Texas. She is a member of the American
Society of Landscape Architects, the National Trust
for Historic Preservation and the Ladybird Johnson
Wildflower Center. She is a graduate of Louisiana
State University with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
degree. She is also licensed in irrigation in the
state of Texas.
Prior to joining Marquise Pools her work
included commercial landscape, residential
landscape, park, zoo and

school projects. Her experience also includes
work in the areas of urban design and land
planning. She has had the opportunity to work on many international
projects as well as domestic projects.
Tambra has been a member of the Marquise Pools
team since 2002. In that time, she has worked on
many award winning pools. Clients benefit from her
attention to detail, her broad vision of the overall
design and her dedication to each job. Developing
a close working relationship with each of her clients
ensures that their vision becomes a reality.

Dave McCorquodale

Dave brings over 7 years of experience to the Marquise team. After spending nine years in Kansas, Dave returned to his native southeast Texas and joined Marquise Pools in 2005. Serving as Design Development Coordinator, Dave works to ensure that each project stays true to the initial design concept. Through careful construction detailing and coordination with the field installation crews, he has helped put the firm at the top of the industry and win international recognition. Responsible for securing building permits and other required approvals for each project, Dave routinely works with a variety of stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from the design phase to the construction phase. By minimizing project downtime prior to construction, Dave helps deliver projects on time and on budget.

Dave has been active in the civic community of
Montgomery, Texas since relocating there with
his family in 2005. He serves as Vice-Chairman
of the Planning & Zoning Commission and is also
on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery
Industrial Development Corporation. Dave holds
degrees in Landscape Architecture, Natural
Resources & Environmental Science, and Regional
and Community Planning from Kansas State
University. |

Polly
Uselton
polly@marquisepools.comUpon returning from Europe, Polly Uselton reconnected with past colleagues by joining the design team at Marquise Pools. Her experience includes leading the design and sales side of B2 Pools where she also owned and managed a swimming pool service and remodeling business that partnered with B2.
Her award winning design and sales of residential pools is combined with large-scale, engineered commercial design and installation of 50-meter competitive swimming pools and community pools with integrated water playgrounds.

She was personally invited to attend the first “Genesis 3” international conference for technically challenging, upscale pool design, earning her a certificate in the same. She has further qualified her experience with informal education for design and implementation with large California & Florida commercial and residential pool builders for difficult swimming pool construction applications.
Her almost 20 years of pool of pool maintenance and remodeling, commercial pool design and installation along with her award-winning residential pool design brings an industry veteran to Marquise Pools.
