Berry Blossom – Swimming Pool Remodel

This was a swimming pool remodel project. Berry Blossom was for a customer that had very unique criteria. This was an existing pool that was very dated, about 10 years old. We stripped the pool down to the gunite and created this incredible combination of water bodies with this massive waterfall in between them. This waterfall has cantilevered rocks with benches underneath it. Probably one of the coolest looking slides we have done.

The whole goal here was when you walk into the side gate you didn’t see the slide. It’s an amazing beach entry, a huge transition in the deck and coping upgrades. And then we created this back waterfall which is this kind of this intimate fire pit sitting area. Instead of putting plants behind the big waterfall we just made another pool and created another back waterfall flowing towards the fire pit.

And this is a very intimate private little corner that the homeowners wanted and they called this little corner of “the country”. That’s because it’s the very far corner of the yard and when they walk back there and they feel like they’re in the country. Back there they’re looking at this amazing waterfall and hanging out by the firepit.

Underneath the pergola is the most incredible outdoor kitchen area with its own TV wall. It has a hibachi. It has a dish washer. It has its own grill. It has two or three refrigerators. It has an ice maker. It has a beverage center. It has every appliance and then some that your inside kitchen would have. This particular client cooks out there all the time. He watches the TV out there all the time. He spends more time outside than he does inside.

The result of this swimming pool remodel project showed Marquise Pools what it means to create an environment there to where the client wants to spend more time in the Marquise environment than they do in their own house. So, to me that is a great representation to justify the money that some of these clients spend. At the end of the day they’re spending more time outside than they are inside. That creates a very humbling success response to a well-done design master plan.

This is the biggest transformation and swimming pool remodel project Marquise Pools has done. If you look at the before picture and then you look at the after pictures it doesn’t even look like the same yard. It was just a really fun project with lots of new features. So Berry blossom will always be one of our special projects for one of our special clients.
